the world that have never won a World Series of Poker bracelet Jeffrey Lisandro
is not one of those players He added to his WSOP bracelet winnings this weekend
when he won the World Championship Seven Card Stud H/L-8 tournament Lisandro
took home $431,656 for his first place work Lisandro was not the lone big name
pro that was chasing the bracelet in this event Doyle Brunson and Scotty Nguyen
neither of whom are strangers to the winners circle both went deep into the
tournament Nguyen finished in eleventh while Brunson made the final table and
finished seventh In other action from the WSOP Jordan Smith won $586,212 for
outlasting 1,694 other players in Event 36 The tournament was a No-Limit Hold’em
event with a $2,000 buy-in Ken Lennaard finished in second place winning
$360,439 In Event 35 a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament Richard Austin was the winner
he won the title by taking out both of his competitors in the same hand Ciff
Josephy had pocket aces which lost to Sorel Mizzi’s pocket kings after a king
came on the flop Mizzi’s kings were then outdone by Austin’s flush Five
tournaments are still in the process of being completed two of them started on
